WOW, what a beautiful story! The illustrations are superb. I love how the pages pan out and also the highlighted words adds to the quality of this app. The narration is well done and the addition of the polar bear facts adds to the educational aspect of this app. My boys loved this book and we will be enjoying it many times over! Thank you SO much for a wonderful app! I highly recommend this beautiful story...
The Smithsonian books are wonderful! The stories, illustrations & narrations are outstanding. Nothing cutesy here! It is quite sophisticated yet very simple to use. There are many option & though my three year old cant read, he easily finds his way. The whole series of animals, dinosaurs & ice age animal books are worth every penny. They are enjoyable for all ages.
Really nice look and feel to this app. However, when using the mode to read the story on your own, I locks up my iPhone 4 every time in the same place (when winter is returning and the bears are being covered in a blanket of snow). The phone is completely locked up, requiring a hard reboot.
Goes fine till a certain page and then locks up. Have to reset iPod every time. So far a waste of money.
